H100 and H200 Melting Tanks

Melt and store chocolate efficiently with the H100 and H200 – small chocolate melting tanks designed for small to mid-sized chocolate producers who need a reliable and consistent supply of melted chocolate for their production.

A chocolate melting tank is a temperature-controlled vessel that melts solid chocolate and keeps it at a stable working temperature, ready for transfer to tempering machines, enrobers, depositors or moulding machines. The H100 holds 100 kg and the H200 holds 200 kg of melted chocolate.

Both models feature stainless steel construction with a water jacket heating system and a heavy-duty stirrer that ensures even heat distribution and a clean, scraped inner surface. In addition, Chocoma develops and manufactures both models in Denmark, drawing on more than 75 years of experience in professional chocolate machinery.

Highlights

  • Available in two capacities: 100 kg (H100) and 200 kg (H200) of melted chocolate
  • Water jacket heating system with heavy-duty stirrer for even heat distribution and consistent chocolate quality
  • Built in stainless steel with easy access to the inner tank for efficient cleaning
  • The H100 is on wheels and fully mobile – can serve multiple chocolate machines
  • Optional pump and pipe system for automatic transfer of melted chocolate to connected machines
  • Safety thermal switch protects chocolate from overheating

How it works: Melting, storing and transferring chocolate

The H100 and H200 melt solid chocolate using a water-jacket heating system and a heavy-duty stirrer to ensure even heat distribution and consistent chocolate quality. Once melted, the tank keeps the chocolate at a stable working temperature until the production line draws it forward to the next machine.

The mobile H100P can deliver melted chocolate to multiple chocolate-consuming machines in different positions – including enrobers, tempering machines and depositors.

The tank offers easy access – whether filling with solid chocolate, removing the stirrer, or cleaning the entire inner surface.

The operator controls temperature and operation simply and precisely via the built-in control panel.

Who is the H100 and H200 chocolate melting tank for?

Chocoma developed the H100 and H200 for small to mid-sized chocolate producers who need a reliable, temperature-controlled supply of melted chocolate for their daily production.

The tanks are an ideal solution if you are currently melting chocolate manually or in smaller batches, and need a more consistent and efficient process that integrates directly with your existing chocolate machines.

The H100 and H200 are particularly well-suited for:

  • Producers who need a stable and continuous supply of melted chocolate for enrobers, tempering machines, depositors or moulding machines
  • Small teams or one-person operations that require precise temperature control with minimal manual intervention
  • Chocolatiers and producers who want the flexibility to serve multiple machines from a single melting unit
  • Businesses looking to reduce manual handling and increase consistency in their chocolate production

Frequently asked questions about h100 and h200

What is a chocolate melting tank? A chocolate melting tank is a temperature-controlled vessel that melts solid chocolate and keeps it at a stable working temperature, ready for transfer to tempering machines, enrobers, depositors or moulding machines.

What is the difference between the H100 and H200? Both models are identical in design but differ in capacity. With a capacity of 100 kg, the H100 runs on wheels, making it fully mobile. The H200 holds 200 kg and sits permanently in the production line.

What is the difference between the H100 and H100P? The H100P is the H100 with an integrated pump and pipe system for automatic transfer of melted chocolate to connected machines.

Can the H100 serve multiple chocolate machines? Yes. The H100 is on wheels and can be moved between machines as needed. With a pump, the H100P can supply multiple machines simultaneously.

What chocolate machines can the H100 and H200 supply? The H100 and H200 can supply enrobers, tempering machines, depositors and moulding machines – either manually via the drain valve or automatically via the optional pump and pipe system.

Is the H100 and H200 easy to clean? Yes. Both models offer full access to the inner tank, the stirrer can be removed for cleaning, and the stainless steel construction ensures hygienic maintenance.

What if I need more than 200 kg of melted chocolate? For larger volumes, Chocoma offers the H500 – a 500 kg melting tank designed for continuous 24-hour operation.

Description – H100 and H200 Melting Tanks

The melting temperature is set by the operator, and it continuously monitored by a temperature controller that ensures an exact temperature control.

Draining of chocolate takes place through the electrically heated valve, or through a pump and pipe system.

Level switches on the receiving machine can control the supply of chocolate from the H100P or H200P directly to enrobers, depositors or other chocolate-consuming machines. The heated and insulated pump and pipe system ensures a consistent and uninterrupted flow.

A safety thermal switch protects the chocolate from being over heated.
